Terms of Service
The rules for buying beats, selling beats, and using DirtyBucket. By purchasing a licence, opening a store, or signing in, you agree to them. How we handle your data is in the Privacy Policy.
Licences
Every beat is sold under exactly one of two licences. What each one contains is fixed at purchase — a later re-upload by the producer can neither withdraw a file you bought nor grant one you did not.
- Basic — the 320kbps MP3, unlimited personal streams, up to 2,500 monetised streams, 1 music video, and 100% of streaming royalties. The beat stays on sale for everyone else.
- Exclusive — the 320kbps MP3 plus the WAV master (and the stems ZIP when the producer uploaded one), unlimited personal streams, up to 10,000 monetised streams, unlimited music videos, and 100% of streaming royalties. The beat is permanently delisted the moment the sale records, and only one exclusive is ever sold per beat.
Buying and delivery
Artists buy without an account: Dodo collects the email on its hosted checkout page, and the payment webhook records the sale. Two emails follow — the buyer gets the beat, the licence, and a download link; the seller gets a reconcilable notification. The download link is permanent: each visit mints fresh short-lived file URLs, so a bookmarked email keeps working.
Payments and producer payouts
Dodo Payments processes every sale as merchant of record, handling tax and VAT. Dodo deducts 4% + $0.40 per sale before the producer share is computed, and the platform fee is 0% at launch. Producer balances pay out manually on a bi-weekly schedule once they reach a $50 minimum.
Producer subscriptions are separate: a 7-day free trial (7 beats, Basic licences only), then Starter at $5/month or Pro at $15/month, billed through Dodo. An expired or cancelled plan keeps existing beats live but blocks new uploads.
Producer content rules
Upload only audio and artwork you own or are licensed to sell — no uncleared samples, no infringing remixes, nothing you do not hold the rights to. Listings that infringe, mislead, or abuse the platform are taken down, and repeat offenders lose their store. Ending a producer account never revokes licences already sold.
Refunds
All sales are final, except duplicates and failed delivery: if you were charged twice, or paid and never received working files, contact hello@beats.dirtybucket.store with your payment id and the difference is refunded from the payment dashboard. Change of mind is not a refund reason — every beat has a 30-second preview, so listen before you buy.
Accounts and termination
Producers and the operator sign in with Google; buyers need no account at all. Accounts used for infringement, fraud, payment abuse, or attacks on the platform are terminated. You may close your store at any time by cancelling your subscription and asking for deletion under the Privacy Policy.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, DirtyBucket's total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid (as a buyer) or received (as a producer, net of fees) in the 12 months before the claim.
Legal review
This document is a template pending review by legal counsel, and it may change after that review. Material changes move the “last updated” date above, and continued use after a change means acceptance of the new terms.
